Concierge arthritis care

A relationship.
Not a rushed appointment.

More time to listen. More room for questions. A treatment plan that reflects the person behind the hip or knee.

Why Choose Concierge Arthritis Care?

The current healthcare system has forced surgeons into an insurmountable position: see more patients, do more surgery, and increase your volume every year. The results are clear: hospitals and insurance companies win and patients lose. The doctor-patient relationship has been replaced with ten-minute clinic visits, longer wait times for surgery, and communication through cumbersome electronic medical records. Insurance premiums and deductibles have risen to the point where having coverage no longer seems like a benefit: you’re paying more and receiving less. Concierge care allows you to take control of your care and choose a surgeon who has your best interests at heart. At Wilco Arthritis Institute, you will never be treated like a number. From your initial visit and for as long as you’re my patient, you will be afforded with the highest levels of care and access. This means more time to discuss the treatment path that’s right for you (even if it’s not surgery), more time to discuss the true risks and benefits of your desired treatment path, and more time for me to learn about your unique goals so that I can take better care of you. My objective is that through this innovative care model we can form an enduring bond that is based upon trust, direct communication, and the highest-quality care.

What makes me different?

My decision to create a concierge care practice comes from a deep understanding of the healthcare system and a desire to take better care of patients. One of my passions outside of surgery is patient and physician advocacy. In my ten years of experience, I have developed innovative value-based care models, educated physicians on ethical billing practices, and fought back against Medicare-driven physician payment cuts that have had negative impacts on patient access to care. This experience has taught me that our current system is unsustainable. Physicians are expected to see more patients and do more surgeries every year to fuel an industry that generates record profits for insurance companies and hospitals. This puts patients at risk! I have concluded that the only way to push back on such an unethical system is to remove myself from it. My goal is a 100% price-transparent practice that puts patients first! With me, you’ll know exactly what you’re paying for: unprecedented access to your surgeon, top-notch surgical care, and a one-on-one patient experience unlike any doctor’s office or hospital you have ever worked with before!

What Can You Expect?

From the moment you schedule your first appointment with Wilco. Arthritis Institute, you will realize that we are different from any other surgeon practice you have ever seen. It is our mission to provide you with truly personalized care for your hip or knee in whatever manner fits your lifestyle. Our practice blends modern technology with a return to old-school medicine by offering both telemedicine, in office and in home patient visits! Your initial evaluation will begin by gathering the most important aspects of surgical care: your story. Once we have established the diagnosis, we will review a comprehensive care plan to meet your individual goals. Proper arthritis care does not always involve surgery, and we will review all treatment options so that you can decide which one is best for you. Above all, you will never feel rushed or leave the visit wanting more. If surgery is needed, we will work on your schedule to select a time that best suits your needs. You will be guided through each step of the process by our family-oriented care team to ensure that you have the best possible outcome.

Understand your care.
Understand your costs.

WILCO’s concierge model separates the surgeon’s professional fee from hospital or surgery-center costs. These are different parts of your care and may be handled differently by your insurance.

A clear conversation before treatment.

Review the surgeon’s fee, the services included, and any separate facility, anesthesia, or implant charges before making a decision. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on your plan and the facility you choose.
